From time to time I’ll look around my studio and home and bring out those objects which I really enjoy having around. Today it’s a set of mugs produced by Danesco in the eighties with abstact animal designs by Montreal artist Zep. I love the graphic interpretations of the animals- can you see what they are? From right to left : a cow, a leopard, a lobster and a fish. I wonder if there are any more designs in this series? I think they still look great today.
Above the mugs is a card with a great cat drawing by Montreal illustrator Bruce Roberts. Bruce always produces quick drawings as promotions for his clients and friends. For a long time his bills were also handrawn which drove more than one accountant crazy! This card is titled «Good luck cat for 2002».
