Camping out in Japan

My first illustration in Japan has just been published – the cover of the annual Auto Camp Guide of Japan. It was a great opportunity for me to work on a new pattern of tents and trees that can be seen in the background. I quite enjoy the commercial quality of the Japanese characters on the cover. Below is one of the crazier sketches that I proposed.

Sorry to have been inactive this long. I have been working on restructuring my website and reworking my designs into viable collections available for licensing. My Christmas animals series of illustrations that I produced for moo.com and La Presse have received awards from Lux 2009 and the AIIQ. Lux is the annual illustration and photography competition showcasing the best from Quebec in the last year. All the awards can be see in the Lux special issue of Grafika magazine on the stands now or on the Lux website.
